Working closely with the managers and partners, you will be responsible for the preparation of annual and management accounts and tax returns. Possessing excellent communication skills and a genuine team spirit you will also assist junior staff with bookkeeping tasks, VAT returns and CIS returns where applicable.

Main areas of responsibility:

• Reconciling the key control data in the bookkeeping software with original documents.
• Preparation of client annual and management financial statements.
• Directly consulting with clients to ensure all needs are met.
• Ensuring all working papers are complete, accurate and fully referenced.
• Completion of tax returns
• Provide help and assistance to the team and assist in training where necessary.

About you:

• At least 2 years accounting experience within a practice environment.
• Comprehensive understanding finance regulations and the tax system, although in-house training will be provided.
• Qualified AAT or qualified by experience.
• Wishing to start or already studying towards ACA / ACCA qualifications.
• Study not essential if not desired.
• Experience of Sage, Xero or Quickbooks would be an advantage.
