The role:

We are looking for a motivated individual to join this team, and provide a range of support services to our entire business. The role has 3 main aspects:

  1. Customer-facing support - answering phones, reviewing email requests, and resolving staff and parent queries.

  2. Moving and tracking calls to other support teams e.g. IT, Finance, Sales

  3. Back office support - updating systems, updating menu information, general office tasks etc.

We will consider applications from candidates at all levels of experience, from zero office knowledge to someone with experience who may be interested in carrying out a supervisory role within the team. As the role is to provide maternity cover, it will be for a fixed one-year term.

We will consider applications from people looking to work part-time or full-time - at least 3 full days or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take phone calls from staff and external customers, capture their issues, and resolve them where possible, or pass them to other support teams.

  • Update the menus on our school meal ordering system.

  • Update the core information in other systems in response to various requests.

  • Support general office tasks as required.

  • The range of responsibilities and support activities will grow as the team develops.

About you:

  • Good personal communication skills, both on the phone and face-to-face.

  • Attention to detail when entering information into systems.

  • Flexibility and ability to switch quickly between tasks to meet the needs of the business.

  • The ability to identify and help implement improvements to our systems.

  • The ability to effectively manage workloads, working as a part of the team, or on your own initiative.

  • The role will be predominantly based in the Worcester Head Office, with some work from home.
