We are excited to be working with a well-established SEMH school in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, that provides a supportive and nurturing environment for students aged 8-18 with SEMH needs, ADHD, Autism, and other associated learning difficulties.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Science Teacher to join their passionate team. You will play a key role in inspiring vulnerable young people through creative and differentiated Science lessons, ensuring they have access to an inclusive and tailored learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering engaging and accessible Science lessons to students with SEMH and additional needs.
Supporting students both academically and emotionally, fostering resilience and a love for learning.
Collaborating with colleagues to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages progress.
Differentiating lessons to meet the individual needs of students, integrating life skills and practical learning.
Building strong relationships with students, staff, and external professionals to create a collaborative learning community.
Encouraging curiosity, scientific inquiry, and hands-on learning opportunities in Science.
The successful Science Teacher will have:

Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs, ADHD, or Autism.
A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques to engage and support students with challenging behaviour.
A passion for making Science accessible and relevant to vulnerable students, encouraging them to achieve their full potential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative school environment.
