MEP Quantity Surveyor
Job Description

MEP Quantity Surveyor will report to the MEP Area commercial manager for area Central, who in turn reports to the Senior Commercial MEP Manager.
The role of Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing accurate and value generating input to projects. The role ensures that all commercial aspects are carried out in accordance with the contract, company policies and procedures, and to the satisfaction of the customer and/or contract leader. This role may work independently or under the direction of a more senior Quantity Surveyor. The QS will be able to demonstrate the ability to function as a member of an integrated team.

Main Responsibilities
Main Contract management and administration
Supply chain management (including supply chain contract administration)
Commercial document control
Cost capture and control (including completion of the CLR)
Commercial Reporting
Assisting with cash management.
Liaison and negotiation with the Customer's commercial and/or project team.
Establishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
Assisting the commercial manager in ensuring the necessary internal and external periodic valuations and reports are prepared and issued in line with deadlines
Assisting the commercial manager with the Implementation of the commercial procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with company and contract requirements
Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues.The Ideal Candidate

Experience of setting up and/or operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution
Experience of technical minute taking at contractual meetings and able to demonstrate the ability to collate information and prepare reports
Experience of drafting contractual correspondence on behalf of the Project Manager and preparation of payment certificates and interim financial reports
Experience of contributing to procurement and contract strategies
Demonstrable legal, contractual and construction knowledge
Hold an RICS/CICES accredited Degree (or equivalent) or enrolled on an accredited part-time post-graduate Degree.Overview

Locations - Either North Acton or West Ruislip
Salary - £45k Plus £5k car allowance annually.
