Our client's production team operate and maintain their treatment works and due to a department restructure they have several exciting vacancies that we are looking to fill. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, flexible and have good attention to detail, working as part of a team ensuring all work is carried out in line with the Company's procedures and in full compliance with onsite Health and Safety.

We are looking to hire a Senior Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Technician to work at our water treatment works, reservoirs and booster stations across Hampshire and West Sussex. You will be responsible for maintaining production assets, delivering technical training, reviewing work (QA), providing feedback to the Production leadership team, and providing technical support, guidance and expertise for the area's water treatment works and associated Network distribution assets.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver training, coaching and mentoring for technicians and apprentices, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following generic and specific method statements, work procedures, and safety instructions, providing input and feedback on minor non-routine technical operational activities or other changes, as required.
* Monitoring performance through effective performance management, giving team members clear direction, support and guidance on their areas of responsibility.
* Ensure that Health & Safety procedures and processes are followed including the Management of Risk Assessments, Coshh assessments (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), internal inspections and audits and any other Control Measures.
* Provides feedback for the Employee Performance Development Review process, identifying training gaps, offering or allocating mentoring and further support as required.
* Undertakes site-specific risk assessments, COSHH assessment (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and internal safety audits on a routine basis, ensuring the maintenance of a safe working environment.
* Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain in adequate condition and report any defects to the Production Team Leader.
* Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the Planned Maintenance Procedures for Production maintenance tasks are maintained and reviewed to satisfy regulatory requirements.
* Ensure the delivery of agreed programs of planned work to an agreed timeline, taking appropriate action to address any slippage.
* Ensure all Storage and Production assets are maintained efficiently.

* Computer and smart phone literate.

Qualifications and Experience
* Industry water operations related qualification for example, CABWI Level 2 or 3 in Water Treatment, and / or some form of relevant level 3 qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent.
* Proven experience and a practical understanding of water treatment processes or water industry exposure.
* Supervisory Qualification Level 3 and / or previous leadership experience and willingness to undertake relevant training to upskill in this area.
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent practical understanding and experience.
* A to C grade or Level 4 or above, GSCE English and Maths and ideally a Science based subject.
* The role requires a skilled qualification where you have served a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field.
* Knowledge of Chemical Handling and basic hydraulic principles.
* Experience of working with Human Machine Interface (HMI) / touchscreen devices
* A good understanding of water treatment processes and / or water industry exposure.
* Computer and smart phone literate.
* Full UK driving licence (Will be required to undertake our driver assessment).
