We prioritise your well-being and foster a work environment that promotes equity for all.Monthly Learning Circles: Engage in reflective discussions to enrich your practice.Specialised Training: Access training in Parent Assess, Motivational Interviewing, and Restorative Practice.Focus on Well-being: Supervision is a priority to ensure you feel supported and empowered.What You Will Be Doing:In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive child and family assessments, focusing on children subject to complex child protection and need assessments, as well as various legal proceedings up to adoption. You’ll be part of a duty rota, assessing risks, participating in strategy discussions, and conducting Section 47 enquiries.Collaborate with substance recovery specialists, domestic abuse workers, and other skilled colleagues to support families and prevent children from reaching the edge of care. As we implement the recommendations from the Social Care Review, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of Social Work.With three family hubs in East Dorset—Swanage, Ferndown, and Wimborne—you’ll be delivering services alongside a wide network of community organisations, right in the heart of the community.About YouAre you passionate, experienced, and ready to make a real impact?If you have at least three years post-qualification experience working within a child protection team, we’d love to hear from you.
