Role Overview:

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Bedhampton, Havant you will be a pivotal part of our plant leadership team, driving the achievement of business and financial goals through the development and maintenance of robust manufacturing processes. Your focus will be on continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring compliance with UK & European legislation, local regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager job:

* Budget Management: Oversee the Manufacturing Engineering department budget, site consumables, Material Usage Variance (MUV), and CapEx.

* Process Improvement: Lead the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and product structures.

* Cost Savings: Commit to and deliver site financial cost savings through continuous improvement and lean methodologies.

* Supplier Management: Handle on-site and off-site supplier contracts and relationships, developing strategic partnerships.

* Manufacturing Strategy: Develop and execute the site manufacturing strategy and related infrastructure projects.

* Collaboration: Work with Engineering & Program Management on new product designs to optimize costs and product longevity.

* Quality Management: Manage Quality Leading Indicators (QLI) and ProLaunch deployment within Operations Assessment.

* Innovation: Integrate new processes, methodologies, and technologies to provide competitive advantages.

* Leadership: Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering department, fostering high-performance teams.

Qualifications for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager job:

* Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.

* Proficiency in Lean manufacturing techniques, Industry 4.0 tools, and Six Sigma concepts.

* Expertise in Problem Solving methodologies and Project Management tools.

* Proficiency in CAD, CAM, MS Office suite, MiniTab.

* Knowledge of industry and customer-specific quality processes (ISO9001, AS9100).

* Understanding of product testing requirements and manufacturing principles.

* Experience in leading cross-functional teams and interfacing with customers and suppliers.
