Competitor Service Development Engineer

To contribute to the profitable growth of the Compressor Technique Services business through the provision of Technical and Sales support. The role concentrates on Competitor Products and is focused on providing support to the Sales Team and Field Service Engineers.

The role:

* Develop and communicate CTS strategies to develop the Competitor Business within the CTS division.

* To take responsibility for promoting UNI Spare parts for Direct and Indirect work.

* Building of relationships between parts suppliers and Atlas Copco, maximising the usage of Edmac/ UNI-Spares as the primary supply channel for contracts.

* Ensure parts/ contracts are quoted correctly, to meet the customers' needs and ensure correct administration.

* To provide Competitor product support to customers, colleagues, and the national sales team.

* Plan and prioritise personal activities, with a view to achieving agreed business aims.

* Undertake commercial and technical proposals as required.

* Use customer and prospect contact activities, tools, and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems

* Analyse and report on product performance on a regular basis.

* Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills

* Identify/develop new markets and/or application opportunities for the product range under your responsibility.

* Interact regularly with the divisional marketing team to ensure sales that the sales channels always have the latest product information

* Provide product training to the sales team and distributor network, as required.

To succeed, you will need:

* Is commercially aware with an understanding of engineering or service products.

* Previous sales experience

* Is motivated and able to build strong working relations with colleagues and customers.

* Has excellent social and interpersonal communications skills.

* Is competent or eager to learn in various software applications is important. We use Office, Outlook. SAP and a broad range of new web-based utilities
