Activus Recruitment seeks a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our client's expanding team in Cove, Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job Purpose
The Fleet Mechanic will safely and efficiently service, repair, and maintain HGVs, LGVs, trailers, and associated equipment within workshop settings and off-site environments.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs
* Conduct safe and efficient servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs, LGVs, trailers, and powder tankers.
* Perform tasks in both workshop and off-site locations as needed.
Equipment Checks
* Complete daily checks on plant and equipment such as forklifts, MEWPs, lifting ramps, and accessories.
* Report any defects or issues to the Site Manager or Fleet Manager.
Documentation
* Accurately complete and submit job sheets, inspection reports, timesheets, and other departmental documentation.
Training and Representation
* Attend meetings and training sessions as directed by management.
* Provide training and guidance to colleagues when required.
* Represent the company professionally and courteously to customers, visitors, and staff.
Additional Information
* The tasks outlined above are not exhaustive; other duties within the scope of the role may be required.
* Employees must ensure the health, safety, and welfare of themselves and others.
* This role may require travel to other locations as directed.
What Were Looking For
* Proven experience maintaining and repairing HGVs, LGVs, trailers, and associated equipment.
* Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage documentation efficiently.
