Our Client is Looking for a Site Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple construction sites and all related aspects, ensuring smooth operations and successful project completion.
- Effectively manage all senior site staff and foremen assigned to your site.
- Ensure project timelines are met, strictly managing these according to the agreed schedule, and promptly communicate any schedule deviations to the Contracts Manager.
- Conduct daily, two-week, and monthly planning to prevent delays, considering daily materials and long lead items.
- Manage snag lists to ensure completion within the required timeline.
- Oversee procurement, ensuring all materials are managed through the schedule and purchase orders are obtained as per company procedures.
- Source and adjudicate materials, managing through Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and allowables documents.
- Encourage and manage the sourcing of new suppliers and subcontractors, in coordination with the Quantity Surveying (QS) department.
- Ensure quality management on all work, conducting checklist inspections as each trade is completed, adhering to company quality management procedures.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers, evaluate claims, and submit payment certificates to the QS department on time and according to company procedures.
- Interface with the Client and Architect on daily issues or queries, responding promptly and professionally.
- Attend site meetings as the main representative, ensuring effective communication and leadership.
- Oversee the Health & Safety of the site, working with safety officers to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Report any site-related issues promptly, proposing solutions where necessary.
- Manage day-to-day site contracts, reporting any deviations to the Contracts Manager.
- Understand the contract and terms specific to each site.
- Complete daily site diaries according to company procedures.
- Manage communication with professionals and subcontractors, following company communication management systems.
- Audit the store controller booklet to ensure tools, materials, and accessories are accounted for at all times.
- Conduct disciplinary hearings on-site for issues requiring verbal and multiple written warnings, following the company's Disciplinary Code of Conduct and Procedures.
