GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced Graduate Teaching Assistant - Primary to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Gateshead. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a primary school setting, supporting teachers and contributing to students' learning journeys, and kick-start your career in education.

Job Summary:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant - Primary, you will work closely with class teachers to provide support across various subjects. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson preparation, working with small groups or one-on-one with students, and helping to manage classroom behaviour.

Job Responsibilities of Graduate Teaching Assistant - Primary:

Work alongside teacher to ensure an appropriate environment for learning.

Provide personalized support to students, nurturing academic excellence and helping them to overcome learning challenges.
Aid in classroom management and help students during lesson to understand contents and complete assignments.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective support strategies.
Monitor and reporting on students' progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
Essential Requirements of Graduate Teaching Assistant - Primary:

A recent Graduate in Education or a related field and a strong interest in pursuing a career in education.
Ability to work well under the guidance of a lead teacher.
Demonstrate a proactive, energetic, and caring approach to work with Primary level students.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Previous experience working with Primary children is preferred. 
Effective communication skills and enthusiasm for educational success, also encouraging students to achieve their academic goals.
