Care Assistant - Carer in Residential Care Home - Whitby This brilliant client, a family-run group of care homes are looking for Care Assistants who can provide exceptional care to residents in a modern, vibrant care home with great facilities.Starting rate is £negotiable based on experience, in a fantastic, supportive environment with excellent learning and development opportunities.Days shifts, 8am - 8pm, part-time/full-time, various contracts available.

Care experience or Social Care qualifications are desirable for this role, especially experience working with the elderly. A good level of English will be required. You’ll also need to be comfortable providing personal care. What we really need are capable and friendly people who can build a rapport with residents and maintain the high levels of care of this Residential Care Home.

Care Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing
  • To contribute to the efficient running of the service
  • Support service users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
  • Ensure care plans and other information about how to support service users are followed
  • Be responsible for informing the Senior Care Assistant/Nurse of any changes in the needs of service users
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
  • Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service
  • Work in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users
  • If desired by the service user, maintain and develop relationships with their family, friends and other people important in their life
