Escape Recruitment is working with a specialist manufacturer who works within several sectors who are looking to appoint a Production Planner to join their Supply Chain Team.

The Production Planner will be responsible for producing and managing the production schedules to ensure the on-time completion of customer orders.

Responsibilities of the role will involve:

Developing the production plan with a detailed project schedule to ensure the manufacturing processes are completed to meet the completion date
Continually monitor the progress of the production plan to ensure it is on track
Work closely with the Sales Team to review sales orders and forecasts
Work closely with colleagues in procurement, production and support teams to ensure availability of materials, workforce and machinery
Attend regular meetings to discuss the production plan and its progress
Highlight and resolve problems with the production plan
Analyse and produce reports using the ERP system for planning and reporting
Continually seek improvements to processes and proceduresKnowledge and experience required for the role:

Previous experience working in a Production Planning role within a manufacturing organisation (electronics would be highly advantageous)
Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain and planning processes
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Experience in using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills
Can prioritise workload and deal with change
Problem solver who always looks for solutions
Team player with excellent communication skillsCompany Bonus and an early Friday finish.
