The Company

A rapidly growing Main Contractor with an ever-growing order book, who have managed to maintain a family feel throughout the company despite their continued expansion. This is also reflected in the their relationships with sub-contractors, clients & consultants, who they partner with on a long-term basis.

The company are looking to build on the back of a fantastic 2023/2024 and grow further as a business looking ahead to 2025. They specialise in Commercial, Industrial, Multi-build and Civils and Infrastructure projects with values up to £20m in value.

The Role

* Provide primary design oversight across a specific project, including co-ordination with Construction and Project Management Team/Managers, to facilitate the timely completion of design information to meet internal and external design programme targets.

* Liaise with the Commercial and Construction departments regarding the selection and assessment of Subcontractors to ensure they are competent, qualified and capable of providing the design input required for the project.

* Manage allocated resources within projects and produce project design programmes to assist in project resource planning across the department.

* Produce structural calculations for projects and/or provide challenge to external structural designers regarding the most efficient design solutions.

* Ensure Design Risk Assessments are created and appropriately maintained for the project in a timely manner to satisfy client and CDM requirements.

* Working Closely alongside a Senior Design Manager or Design Lead on singular larger-scale schemes or multiple smaller projects simultaneously.

* Taking on increasing ownership as you progress, with a clear pathway to Design Manager Level in place.

* You will grow financially and with status as the company continue their growth, which is set to be a dramatic spell of growth over the next 12-18 months.
