Field Service Engineer - Recycling Equipment

Ideally Based: Midlands

Salary: £33,000 basic, average earnings with overtime £45,500

LWS Services have been retained by a well-established leading manufacturer and supplier of waste compaction equipment.Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service and Maintenance Engineer to join their rapidly expending engineering team.

Field Service Engineer Role & Responsibilities:

• Attending customer sites for break downs, servicing, maintenance and fault finding of waste recycling machinery such as compactors and balers.

• Evaluating and resolving 3 phase electrical and hydraulic systems and resolving any problems.
• Working on PLC controlled machinery.
• Liaising with and working alongside other technical engineers.
• Responsible for the installation and testing of equipment.
• Providing training on machine operation to customers and end users.
• Attend and repair equipment breakdowns on customer sites.
• Providing service report and time sheets to the Service Manager for evaluation.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

• Experienced maintenance Engineer with mobile experience.
• Single and 3 phase Electrical experience essential
• Hydraulic experience is essential.
• Worked in heavy / Industrial environment
• Direct experience within the waste/ recycling an advantage.
• Full UK driving license
• You must be flexible with hours as overtime will be required

Additional Package Details:

• Hours of work 40hr 8am -4.30pm overtime outside those hours will be paid @1.5 - and after 9pm double time.
• (Average 10hrs a week overtime @£24ph = £12,480 plus £33k basic = £45,480 average earnings per year)
• Weekends if called out £60 call out and 1.5 hourly rate for first 4hrs on Saturday and then double time and double time all day Sunday
• 28 days holiday including bankers plus 1 day for every year for first 5 years
• Standard pension
