Schedule: Full-time, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, three shifts per week including alternate weekends

Situated just outside Rushden, the home is designed in a modern style, offering a homely yet contemporary setting for its residents. The home provides personal, nursing, and dementia care for up to 48 residents.

Role Overview

The Senior Care Assistant role provides a rewarding opportunity to support residents in a compassionate and dedicated care setting. Focused on maintaining residents' independence, dignity, and wellbeing, this role involves supervising a team, managing daily care routines, and promoting best practices in care.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, responsibilities include:

Leading care support efforts to provide daily living assistance with a focus on dignity, respect, and independence
Conducting medication rounds accurately and ensuring daily charts are completed to a high standard
Leading shifts, supporting team members, and maintaining high standards of care
Promoting best practices in care, addressing concerns, and participating in team evaluations as directed by the Home Manager
Essential Qualifications and Experience

Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ Level 3)
Minimum of two years' experience in a residential or nursing care setting
Understanding of Person-Centred Care Planning
Awareness of safeguarding principles and abuse prevention
Proximity to the location (within a 30-minute commute)
Preferred Skills and Experience

At least two years' experience in a senior care role within a nursing home setting
Experience in dementia care
NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or higher
Knowledge of the National Care Standards Act 2000
Experience conducting effective, person-centred evaluations and team management
