We are a leading fire protection specialist focusing on commercial, residential and domestic sprinklers. We provide specialist services across the UK. Our team consists of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about fire safety and protection. We are looking to add a Pre-Construction Manager to our team in the new year.

About the Role:

The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for managing assigned projects in collaboration with the Project Director, focusing on project financials, risk management and client relations. The role will report to the Operations Directors & the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

* Mentor and work collaboratively with project team members

* Represent Fire Mechanical professionally

* Conduct job site visits to review existing conditions

* Establish and maintain positive relationships

* Review all project documents for completeness and accuracy

* Develop bid scopes for trade packages

* Vet subcontractors to ensure compliance with bid scope

* Write and execute subcontracts and purchase orders

* Manage project buy-out and subcontractor formalization

* Prepare take-offs and budgets with Project Estimators

* Develop preconstruction schedule and monitor progress

* Plan site logistics with field team input

* Present job cost, scheduling and budget updates at regular intervals

* Ensure costs align with budget procedures during preconstruction

Key Requirements:

* Experience working in a similar role

* Must have experience of working mechanical contracts

* Experience of fire suppression/sprinkler install in commercial settings preferred

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

* Valid UK driving licence
