C&I Engineer (Projects) / Chemicals / Contract / Outside IR35 / Cheshire

Any EC&I Engineers (c&i bias) out there with over 8 years' experience looking for a new contract, then contact me as I have the perfect opportunity! Ideally we are looking for a Lead / Senior but all applicants will be considered.

I am working with a Chemical Manufacturer in the North West that are looking for someone that has exposure and experience working on a highly hazardous site as well as an understanding of how heavy process plants work. Our client is an innovative market leader in what they do and have just been given the green light on a number of projects.

Due to the nature of the work you should have an understanding of safety regs and standards in accordance with Atex, DSEAR, 61508/11 etc.

If you are already or looking to get more involved within a Projects team then this is the opportunity for you.

This is long term work, and the contract will be provided on an initial 12 month basis.

Responsibilities / Experience:

* Understanding of Atex / COMAH regs

* Build / Modification Projects experience

* Oversee and carry out Design

* Handling of Projects from basic initial design through to completion and handover within authorised cost and to agreed timescales (lifecycle).

* Ensuring that instrument and control schemes operate within the framework of national and company standards.

* Carrying out duties as appropriate within the company permit to work system.

* Supervising and directing junior projects engineers and technicians.

* Coordinating the activities of EPCM contract engineers
