A leading Real Estate client in the City of London is looking to hire a Management Accountant on a 12 month fixed term basis to cover maternity. This role offers the opportunity to business department heads and assist with forecasting.

The client offers hybrid working with 3 days required in the office and 2 days from home.

The role will look to start in the New Year.

Reporting to the Finance Manager this role as Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts & nominal account reconciliations, annual budgeting process and re-forecasting process 3 times a year
• Assisting in the year end and interim process, and dealing with queries from external auditors
• Statutory accounts preparation and use of the group consolidation system
• Review of balance sheet and preparation of monthly reconciliations
• Review VAT report monthly and quarterly and submit return quarterly
• Intercompany balances (working with Accounts Assistant)
• Reviewing bank reconciliations
• Monthly maintenance of accruals and prepayments schedules
• Monthly cost analysis/ tracking
• Use of online banking platform for setting up ad hoc payments
• Diligent maintenance of filing for support for all payments and receipts
• Review of company credit card charges

Skills/Experience required by the Management Accountant:

• Have experience of preparing full sets of management accounts
• Strong VAT understanding
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting
• ACCA/CIMA Studier
