Are you looking to join a dedicated and dynamic team, delivering essential services to the community? The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea is seeking a Driving Caretaker to join our mobile team and help make a real difference for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

As a Driving Caretaker, you will:

  • Work as part of a mobile team providing graffiti removal, jet washing, bulk waste removal, communal window cleaning, and deep cleaning services across the Borough.
  • Operate equipment such as jet washers, power tools, and reach-and-wash systems to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of estates.
  • Perform scheduled and responsive cleaning, waste removal, and maintenance tasks to the highest standards.
  • Inspect and report hazards such as fly-tipping, graffiti, or vandalism, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Assist in the safe movement of supplies and maintain operational equipment in excellent condition.
  • Liaise with residents, stakeholders, and emergency services as needed, representing RBKC with professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a proactive and responsible individual who:

  • Holds a valid UK driving licence and can safely operate service vehicles.
  • Is skilled in using cleaning and maintenance equipment, including jet washers and power tools.
  • Has strong attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks on time.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents and stakeholders.
  • Is physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting and carrying.
  • Is flexible and willing to work as part of a Borough-wide mobile team.
