About the position

We're looking for an enthusiastic SCADA Engineer with a passion for development systems which deliver value. This is a unique opportunity for an Engineer who has experience with building and deploying systems and is ready to step up into a role where you'll be in charge of developing and managing your own SCADA system from start to finish.

You'll be responsible for taking our existing software platform and transforming it into a fully-fledged SCADA system, tailored to meet the needs of our growing client base. We've already sold our first SCADA system, and we're looking for someone to lead the charge as we scale and roll out this system across multiple process industries, first and foremost within one of the fastest growing breweries in the UK.

Within this role, you'll have the chance to develop a system for some of the most exciting clients in the industry, taking full ownership of the SCADA system, giving you full responsibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key deliverables

Lead the development and delivery of our SCADA system, using Siemens TIA Portal and SIMATIC technologies.

*

Own the full lifecycle of SCADA development, from initial concept to deployment.

*

Work alongside our talented engineering team to integrate existing software and routines into the SCADA platform.

*

Ensure the system delivers high-value solutions to our customers, with an emphasis on efficiency and innovation.

*

Collaborate with our industry leading clients to implement and enhance the system across our growing client base.

*

Internal assistance and training of staff across departments in PLC/HMI/SCADA Systems.

*

Assisting with on-site customer demonstrations and trials.

*

Project pre-order research and estimating and meetings with customers and internal stakeholders..

*

Taking responsibility for all above aspects of a project on an individual basis or taking responsibility for just some aspects whilst working together on a team project.

*

Assisting on other engineer's projects or assisting on customer breakdowns.

Skills, experience, and qualifications:

*

We're looking for a SCADA Engineer with experience in building and deploying systems, looking to take the next step in their career

*

Ideally degree qualified or working towards degree qualifications or HNC in electrical engineering or a completed apprenticeship in Engineering

*

Strong demonstrable experience of PLC Programming is essential

*

Experience with SCADA systems, Siemens TIA Portal, and/or Symantec is a plus but not essential.

*

A strong desire to develop and own a SCADA system from start to finish.

*

Someone who thrives in a hands-on, development-focused role with the opportunity for growth.

*

A self-starter who is eager to add value to customers and contribute to the growth of the business.
