Transport Planner/Route PlannerLocation: PortsmouthSalary: up to £33,000 dependent on experience  - there will be an opportunity to develop with the business and once your CPC has been completed this can increase up to £38,000.Hours of work: You will be required to work a shift pattern on a rota basis and these will include the following:

• 6AM - 1PM
• 10PM - 4PM
• 11AM - 6PM

Due to huge success and changes within the business our client is now looking to develop one of their specialist teams and is looking for a Transport Planner to join their business.As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for:

• Working within a busy transport office
• Managing the transportation of goods to specialist areas 
• Route and load planning
• Scheduling drivers routes
• Client liaison- ensuring that the customer’s request are met and updates should any issues arise
• Driver liaison- liaising regularly with the drivers to ensure the smooth delivery of goods within agreed time frames, managing any issues that arise
• Administration to ensure accurate information

The ideal candidate:

• Will have worked within Transport and Logistics  previously
• Will ideally have some experience of planning routes although this can be taught
• Will have excellent communications skills
• Will be very organised
• Will have good administration skills and experience
• Will have a good geographical knowledge of Hampshire 
• Will be flexible and adaptable to change
