A rapidly growing and forward-thinking contractor is looking for a SHEQ Manager to join their department and help support the function during a sustained period of growth, working across a variety of build and civils schemes across the Midlands and beyond. You will play a key role in managing performance and driving the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality agenda across the organisation.

Reporting into the MD, you will be:

• Experienced in management systems (9001, 14001 and 18001/45001) and preferably already have an internal auditor's qualification
• Developing risk assessments and method statements and maintaining accreditations
• Assisting with PQQs and new tenders
• Comfortable from site to board level
• Identifying and assisting with the implementation of continuous improvement
• Ensuring project teams are proactive, updated and compliant

Key competencies include:

• Construction experience (preferably within new build projects) (ESSENTIAL)
• NEBOSH or NCRQ (ESSENTIAL)
• Writing project specific RAMs
• Self-motivated and autonomous with an ability to manage a SHEQ department
• A desire to develop and progress, promoting best practice whilst maintaining a pragmatic approach
