Job Title: Secondary School Music Teacher (Maternity Cover)

The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our client on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment. This position is ideal for a teacher with excellent subject knowledge, creativity, and strong classroom management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Inspire and support students in their musical development, including both instrumental and vocal work.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour management, ensuring a safe and focused learning atmosphere.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote their academic and personal growth.
• Support and contribute to extracurricular music activities, including school concerts and performances.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold the department's standards.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching music at secondary level (Key Stages 3 and 4).
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Passion for music education with excellent subject knowledge.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

• Experience leading extracurricular music activities or performances.
• Knowledge of GCSE Music specifications and exam boards.
