Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Activities Coordinator to join the team at their beautiful care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering a wide range of engaging activities and events for residents.
This role requires a creative and compassionate individual who can inspire and energise residents through inclusive, person-centred programmes that promote wellbeing and social connection.
What We’re Looking For
- Must hold a full UK driver’s licence
- Proven experience coordinating and delivering activities, ideally in a care or community setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups
- Strong organisational and time management skills; able to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Knowledge of recreational therapy, community engagement, or a related field is an advantage
- Certification in activities or recreational therapy is desirable but not essential
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate a variety of engaging activities and events tailored to the interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds of residents
- Develop and implement an inclusive activities programme that encourages community engagement and social interaction
- Collaborate with care home staff to ensure activities support the overall wellbeing and enrichment goals of the home
- Promote activities through various communication channels to maximise participation
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all activities and events
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents during all programmes
- Stay informed on current trends and best practices in recreational and therapeutic programming
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that values and celebrates individual differences
