Job Title: QA Auditor/Assistant

Salary: £26,093 per annum (£12.54 per hour)

Job Type: Temporary (6 months) with potential for a permanent role

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) — occasional weekend work may be required

About the Role:
We are hiring a QA Auditor/Assistant for a well-known brand in the food industry based in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in Quality Assurance, ensuring food safety and product quality through routine checks and collaboration with the production team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct QA and QC checks, including temperature, weight, and cleaning checks.

* Ensure food safety controls are monitored and maintained.

* Support the investigation of customer complaints and process issues.

* Assist in maintaining food safety certifications (BRC, Red Tractor).

* Work closely with production teams to uphold quality standards.

* Participate in product tastings as part of quality checks.

About You:

* Previous experience in food manufacturing or Quality Assurance is desirable.

* Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, BRC) is a plus.

* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

* Good communication and IT skills.
