Job Title: Class TeacherLocation: Coleford, GloucestershireSalary: 30,000 to £43,266Hours: 40 per weekWe are currently seeking a Class teacher to join a specialist Education setting providing inclusive education for pupils aged 2-19 years of age with Moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties.The school offers a vibrant community where every pupil is valued and all achievements are celebrated.The role:As a class teacher you will share the schools aim to engage, enrich and inspire your students and will be responsible to the School and Headteacher for your teaching duties/tasks and responsibilities.You will be responsible for interacting on a professional level with colleagues and should seek to establish and maintain productive relationships with them in order to promote mutual understanding of curricular areas and programmes of study in the school curriculum with the aim of improving the quality of teaching and learning in the school.Your key responsibilities will include:

• To be responsible for the education and welfare of all pupils in your care
• To be responsible for and co-ordinate the development of a subject ( exception of NQT’s)
• To act as Line Manager to your class team, to include performance management, of identified staff.

Experience/Qualifications:

• QTS
• Training in Education of primary/secondary/post 16
• Basic safeguarding
• Experience of working with children and young people with a wide range of SEND
• Experience of working within an educational setting/classroom
• Qualifications related to SEND would be desirable as well as ASD/SEMH qualifications however these are not essential
