Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We have been instructed to recruit a Payroll & Benefits Assistant for a leading UK distributor to be based out of their head office in Coleshill. The Payroll & Benefits Assistant will report into the Payroll Manager and receive a salary of up to £35,000 per annum.

The business offer flexible working with the requirement to be in office only twice a week.

Payroll and Benefit Assistant responsibilities:

  • Process payroll data accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely and compliant payments for over 1000 employees.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, including enrolment, eligibility verification, and communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of payroll and benefits systems
  • Reconciliation of month end deductions/ earnings and inter-company transfers
  • Processing external payments to Stakeholders
  • Administration of Long Service Shares and Awards
  • Administration of SMP/ SPP payments
  • Production of monthly reports as required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll and benefits processes.

Ideal skillset and qualification:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll and/or benefits administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and payroll/benefits software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and data security.
