Our new provision, which focuses on therapeutic parenting in the residential setting, is looking for an energetic deputy manager to join its team. Deputy Manager Children's Home - Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role as a Deputy Manager (will consider senior key/support workers) for a therapeutic residential children's home in Worcester Park, South West London. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for overseeing the home's day-to-day operations together with the Registered Manager with a plan of progression to the registered manager post, managing the care team, ensuring the well-being of residents, and implementing care programs to support the children. Rotating shift rota and some weekend cover. The role requires DBS and references.
Deputy Manager Children's Home - Qualifications
* Strong focus on children's welfare and proactive approach to safeguarding
* Understanding of Children's Homes (2015) England Regulations and Care Standards
* Communication and People Management skills
* Experience in Residential care
* Previous experience working in a role working with young people
* Desired criteria: Level 3 or level 5 qualification in HSC but not essential as training and paid course will be provided
