A dynamic Engineering Manager is required to lead the Engineering team for an FMCG manufacturing business based in Leeds. This role demands a hands-on approach, technical expertise and strong leadership skills to drive the team's performance.

Description

The Engineering Manager will report directly to the Head of Engineering and will:

Lead, develop and mentor the engineering team
Implement strategic plans to improve productivity and efficiency
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Oversee the maintenance and improvement of machinery and equipment
Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the department
Manage labour resources (budgets, absences, shift planning etc)
Manage stock control
Ensure site remains audit ready within Engineering department

Profile

The successful Engineering Manager will possess a range of the following:

Competence across Electrical and Maintenance Engineering with relevant qualifications
Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team
Experience working within FMCG manufacturing facility
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
Excellent organisation skills
Experience working to BRC audit standards
Assertiveness and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the businessJob Offer

An attractive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 annually
A total of 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays
