If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Interim Head of Youth Justice Service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and drive best practice in the strategic development of a "child first" approach within youth justice, ensuring high-quality service delivery to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic leadership, continually improve and modernise youth justice services, and translate strategic objectives into operational delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement: Secure political and high-level management and stakeholder agreement for strategic objectives, including preparation for new inspection regimes.
Performance Management: Oversee systemic practice groups, ensuring standards and performance targets are met or exceeded.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Lead multi-agency responses to adolescent safeguarding and extra-familial harm.
Service Improvement: Drive continual improvement, ensuring the service is inspection-ready and aligned with best practices.Essential Skills & Experience:

Professional Registration: Registered with Social Work England or equivalent professional qualification.
Youth Justice Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the legal and statutory framework of youth justice services, recent research, and best practices.
Leadership: Proven experience in managing youth justice services, strategic planning, and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Resource Management: Experience in human and financial resource management, business planning, and performance management.
Communication Skills: High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.Why Join Us?
