Job Title: Senior Internal Financial Controls SpecialistDuration: 12 months with a view to extendRate/Salary: £#removed# per day inside IR35 (subject to experience)Location: London/home based (2-3 days in central London office per week plus home working)The Role:The role involves maintaining the Internal Control Framework across the Group, including the accuracy of controls maintained on the control platform, and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.* Develop and uphold a strong control environment through maintaining up to date process and control documentation* Support management in the identification and management of key risks* Conduct annual SOX testing in line with Group methodology to provide assurance over financial reporting* Manage the control remediation process for related control gaps/ deficiencies* Monitor control performance in Internal Control tool* Ensure the Internal Control tool is maintained for specific controls* Produce assigned reporting for both Executive and non-Executive management* Provide control oversight and identity control process improvements* Rationalise overlapping and duplicate controlsExperience Required:* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA).* Internal Audit or Risk background within the Insurance industry is essential* Good SOX understanding and experience* Sound grasp of risk management principles and practices* Clear operational mind-set with first-hand experience of process re-engineering, root cause and business analysis.* Analytical thinker / pragmatic problem solver* Ability to deliver against tight deadlines and competing prioritiesIf the above role would be of interest and you fit the following criteria, please apply online for consideration.
