An incredible new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Occupational Therapist - Acute Ward to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Stapleton, Bristol area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This is one of UK's leading hospitals for the treatment of individuals, families and couples facing a wide range of psychiatric conditions

**To be considered for this position you must hold a relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy and registered with the HCPC**

As the Occupational Therapist your key responsibilities include:

  • To complete assessments, developing and implementing person-centered treatment plans, facilitating group and 1:1 work, facilitating graded exposure, educating on coping strategies, completing community signposting and contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Working alongside an occupational therapy assistant and may be required to provide supervision to occupational therapy staff
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of nurses, healthcare assistants, psychiatrists and a specialty doctor, a large part of the role will also involve autonomous working
  • Expected to apply your occupational therapy skills, complete thorough risk assessments and use evidence-practice to guide your therapeutic interventions

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Strong personal organizational skills and effective communication abilities
  • Experience working with secure and/or acute environments
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
  • Able to show a can do attitude

The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary up to £36,000 pro rata. This exciting position is a part time role working 18.75 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
