MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Software biased PLC Engineer to join a leader within the green energy sector, focusing on green energy assets in Landfill Gas Energy (LFG), Solar and Battery Storage.

You will be the PLC technical lead on current active assets and brand new commissioning projects in the renewables sector. Working on a hybrid basis you have the ability to work from home with travel to UK wide sites.

The ideal candidate will be confident with Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley Software, recognising design improvements and delivering suggestions to all relevant stakeholders. A UK driving licence is essential.

As the PLC Engineer you will be responsible for:
• Software development and modifying Siemens, Allen Bradley, Wonderware and WinCC
• Planning, optimising and delivering green energy LFG, Solar and Battery storage projects in regards to relevant software
• Support the Control and Instrumentation team with fault finding and servicing of PLC and SCADA systems when necessary
• Review technical documents and design schematics to ensure EPC delivery is within discussed designs
• Create a catalogue of process improvements which can be delivered in future projects
• Travelling to active and commissioning projects across the UK
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:
• Proven experience with Siemens S7 and/or Allen Bradley PLC's
• A relevant Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering qualification at HNC/HND and Degree level
• A time served apprenticeship is beneficial but not essential
• Ability to communicate to different stakeholders and delivery constructive feedback in a confident manner
• Working knowledge of all relevant H&S legislation
