My client is looking for A Senior Accountant due to expansion.

My client are looking for an experienced, qualified accountant with at least 3 years' post qualification practice experience to join their growing accountancy practice. They are looking for a candidate who is not only technically sound, but also has excellent people skills and is able to take on a senior role within the practice.

The ideal candidate will be available to work full time (although 0.8 FTE would also be considered), and have the following skills and experience:

* 3 years' post qualification experience in a practice setting;

* Qualified ACCA or ICAEW (QBE with 7+ years' practice experience will be considered);

* A good working knowledge of SAGE50, XERO, IRIS and Excel is advantageous;

* Ability / experience of leading a small team of bookkeepers and part qualified accountants would be desirable.

The main job responsibilities are:

* Year end accounts preparation for partnerships, sole traders and limited companies

* Management accounts for larger clients

* Year end bookkeeping

* Tax computations - self assessment and corporation tax

* Vat returns

* Liaising with HMRC and clients

* Working as a team to ensure deadlines are met and clients are provided with outstanding quality service

* Reporting to the Director(s), the successful candidate will be a key figure within the practice and hence will have fantastic growth potential as the practice grows

Experience:

* Accounting Practice: 2 years (preferred)

* accounting: 2 years (required)

Salary: 55k DOE
