Join our client's dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of renewable energy!

They are a small, friendly, and fast-growing company with a robust and expanding workload. They're seeking a reliable, newly qualified professional engineer or a seasoned solar electrician who's ready to take their career to the next level.

This primarily office-based position focuses on the exciting design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of cutting-edge domestic and commercial PV and battery systems, with projects ranging up to 1.5MWp.

While the company's operations are mainly in the East Midlands, they occasionally work on installations further afield, offering variety and new challenges.

In addition to office work, you'll have the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience on-site, installing the electrical elements of Solar PV systems, battery storage, EV chargers, ground/air source heat pumps, and whole-house ventilation systems.

The following criteria are essential for this role:

Time served Electrical Apprenticeship or degree in Electrical engineering
Renewable Energy course modules or experience in the design and installation of solar installations
Useful additional qualifications:

C & G PV installation or equivalent MCS Solar qualification
18th Edition
Full clean driving licence
CSCS
What will your role look like?

Work tasks will include:

Site surveys to determine work and design requirements
Electrical system design, line diagrams and specification
Liaising with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers on technical issues
Support and manage our inhouse installation teams
Ensure adherence to MCS standards and current electrical standards
Assist in the upgrading of internal practices and policies in line with external standards
Prepare CDM's, Risk assessments and method statements
Act as Health and Safety nominee
Act as NAPIT Competent Person for MCS (if suitably qualified)
Carry out fault diagnosis/replacements/repairs/resolve Communication issues
Liaise with equipment manufacturers on hardware and software issues
Attend manufactures technical training on-line and class sessions as required
Attain to advanced level manufactures installation courses
Keep up to date on personal qualifications as needed
Monitor, control, and order electrical stock, solar panels, mountings, batteries as required
Site based tasks will include:

Carry out occasional Solar PV installations (electrical elements only) to ensure full understanding of work tasks involved and installation team cover
Carry out occasional Tesla, Qcell, Solis and Sonnen battery system installations
Learn and gain experience of the Commissioning, testing, and reporting of test results
