EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a precision engineering company located in North Nottingham, working permanently.

Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position, candidates may be subject to requiring security clearances, therefore, our client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK. Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.

EMBS Engineering is in exclusive partnership with a client in the North Nottinghamshire area This client specialises in dealing and distributing products from some of the world's leading manufacturers of automatic transmissions, drivetrain systems, and diesel engines.

Your responsibilities include:

* The field-based role will involve, safely handling, disassembling, and cleaning dirty and used components

* Inspecting and identifying parts

* Reassembling mainly engines, with occasional work on transmissions, axles, and transfer cases

* Diagnosing and repairing failed units

* Testing and evaluating completed units to ensure product reliability

* Communicating with customers providing updates and work progress

* Completing and submitting all paperwork with a high level of accuracy

* Adhering to HSE policy and promoting good practices within the team

* You might need to be available for occasional overtime as well as both domestic and international travel

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:​​​​ ​​​​​

* Possess strong mechanical analytical and diagnostic skills, with at least 5 years of experience working with engines and transmissions in a mechanical engineering environment

* Expert knowledge across a broad range of engines and transmissions, expressing confidence in dismantling and assembling engines, with a working knowledge of tooling and diagnostic equipment

* Exhibit high attention to detail

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office when completing paperwork

* Good communication skills when maintaining customer relationships and requirements

* Strong organisational skills and comfortable working under pressure

* Comfortable travelling day to day to support customers with repairs and maintenance

* Full UK driving license
