*To oversee the smooth day-day running of the Learning Resource Center, providing a welcoming, high-quality experience to all students. To ensure the College's health and safety procedures are implemented and incidents/issues are escalated on occasions when they are not able to be resolved locally within the Team.* Actively engage with students to support the development of learning skills (digital, study, research, information) both in-person and online and deliver learning skills sessions on a regular basis to meet learning needs.* Assist, supervise and support students in timetabled workshops in the Learning Resource Center.* Assist with the development of learning materials for students that develop their learning skills.* Support the student BKSB assessment process, facilitating a positive student experience.* Provide management information to the Learning Resources Coordinator on the utilization of the Learning Resource Center learning spaces and associated resources. Actively seek student feedback on services, contributing to a continuous improvement approach and identifying opportunities for service enhancements.* Support students in the general use of IT including Microsoft Office applications, WIFI connectivity, the VLE and multi-function devices, performing first line problem solving for students and referring more complex issues to the relevant team or IT Support on their behalf.* Assist with maintaining the library management system and other resource services, performing regular stock checks, housekeeping and maintenance to ensure they accurately represent the resource collection.* Contribute towards the operation of the department including attendance at meetings and events as required, representing the department and college in a positive and professional manner.* Perform general administration duties required for the successful operation of the service including taking payments for sales, cash reconciliation and providing an equipment loan service.* Take responsibility for your own continued professional development to support the ongoing development of department services and undertake training relevant to existing and new services as agreed with line manager.* Support the training and development of team members.
