Merco Medical are looking for a dedicated GPs to join a well-established group of 5 surgeries located in Plymouth, providing healthcare to 35,000 patients.

The successful candidates will be based out of one of the five surgeries, with travel needed every so often.

Job Description

As a GP, you will provide comprehensive patient care, including; diagnosis, treatment, and management of both acute and chronic conditions, also focusing on preventative medicine and conducting home visits as needed.

Administrative duties include maintaining accurate medical records, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and attending multidisciplinary meetings. Additionally, you will be involved in educational activities, such as training junior doctors, and engaging in ongoing professional development.

Strong communication skills are essential for patient interactions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals (both colleagues and the wider medical community) - you will also contribute to practice management, and assist the development of new services to improve patient care and clinical efficiency.

What we are looking for:

-          A full registration with the GMC, and on the GP Register.

-          Previous Primary Care experience.

-          SystmOne proficiency.

-          Proficiency in all areas of general practice, including patient consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

-          Expertise in managing both acute and chronic conditions, with a comprehensive approach to patient care.

-          Knowledge of current NHS practices, guidelines, and legal regulations.

-          Additional qualifications/specific areas of interest, such as diabetes care, women's health and dermatology are desirable but not essential.

Salary

£12,750 per session - full time (8 sessions) is preferred, however we will consider part time applicants.
