About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our management team as a Senior Complience Manager This key role will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with our safety and environmental standards, contributing to the overall success of our projects. You will collaborate closely with other team members to manage and oversee various safety and compliance aspects, particularly within scaffolding and temporary works environments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Health & Safety Compliance: Support the management team to ensure compliance with company and legal health, safety, and environmental standards.

* RAMS & SSOW: Review and sign off Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and ensure Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) are robust and in place.

* Contractor Management: Assess contractors' competencies and ensure they meet required health and safety standards.

* Temporary Works Coordination: Take responsibility for the coordination and safe execution of temporary works on site, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.

* Operational Support: Work with the management team to implement safer working procedures and recommend improvements to current processes.

* Health & Safety Procedures: Ensure the application of health and safety standards and procedures throughout the project lifecycle, with particular emphasis on scaffolding and related temporary works.

* Compliance Audits: Regularly review and audit operational practices to ensure all activities are in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

* Experience: Previous experience in managing health & safety compliance on construction or engineering contracts, particularly scaffolding and temporary works.

* Background: Ideally, candidates will have a background in Facilities Management (FM) with a strong understanding of operational planning for reactive works.

* Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific safety and compliance standards, regulations, and best practices.

* Temporary Works Coordination: Experience in temporary works coordination, including planning and implementing safe systems of work for scaffolding or similar activities.

* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with management, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

* Qualifications: A relevant Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) would be highly advantageous.

Desirable Attributes:

* Experience with scaffolding operations and temporary works systems.

* Proficiency in reviewing and managing safety documentation (RAMS, SSOW, etc.).

* Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.
