Duties & Responsibilities

v Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Management.

v Ensure the business complies with all legal and other Legislation.

v Take ownership of the company's Health & Safety Plan

v Maintain and develop the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS)

v Maintain all associated documentation including safety systems of work, risk assessments, internal monitoring and audit systems

Environmental

v Ensure the business complies with the terms of its environmental permits.

v Take ownership of the company's Environment Improvement Plan

v Assist in the continuous development of ISO 14001.

v Maintain and develop the Environment Management System (EMS)

v Work alongside the Environment Agency (EA).

v Take ownership of Waste Management

Quality

v Become part of quality management team focused on providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled.

v Take ownership of the company's Quality Management Plan

v Maintain and develop the Quality Management System (QMS)

v Assist in the continuous development of ISO 9001

General

v Work as part of the operations management team and provide sick and holiday cover as required.

v Attend Daily Operations Meeting and chair monthly safety meetings.

v Undertake any Training Courses to perform the duties required for this position.

v Carry out Senior Manager Safety Tours and audits

v Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace

v Work within a flexible working system

Skills

v NEBOSH Diploma qualification

v Experience in managing ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 internal and external audits

v Understanding of waste management requirements

v Experience in HSE Management role preferrable

Own transport essential

Hours Of Work

Monday to Friday - hours to be agreed

Holidays

The holiday year runs from 1st April - 31st March.

Based on a five-day working week:

Service 0 - 5 years 25 days + Statutory Bank Holidays.

Service 5 - 10 Years 26 Days + Statutory Bank Holidays.

Service 10 Years Plus 27 Days + Statutory Bank Holidays
