This is an exciting new role and a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a housing association based in Orpington & Penge and make a real difference to the organisation during a significant period of growth and change.I am recruiting for a small community based housing association, with 413 homes, in the borough of Bromley and Bexley. Our aim is to make a difference every day and have a positive impact on both the lives of our residents and the communities in which we work. We are committed to working in partnership with our residents to ensure that their tenancies, and our communities, are sustainable. We are in an exciting phase of our future. We are now entering into a partnership with the London Borough of Bromley to manage their housing stock on their behalf; this is approximately 270 homes, including some temporary accommodation, with more homes in the pipeline. This role will provide proactive and holistic support to residents in the temporary accommodation scheme in Orpington, Kent

SUMMARY OF POSTTo provide an effective a holistic and proactive tenancy support service in our temporary accommodation. To deliver a range of pro-active interventions with a view to ensuring compliance with tenancy conditions, working towards creating sustainable tenancies, preventing homelessness and promoting independent living.

Key Tasks1.1 Provide a positive image to residents, stakeholders and other relevant outside bodies 1.2 Deliver an excellent customer service to residents dealing with their queries and concerns quickly and efficiently1.3 Work and deal with residents who may have complex and challenging housing support needs in a constructive manner and with the aim of supporting them to maintain their tenancies and move on to permanent accommodation. 1.4 Carry out assessments of need and risk as appropriate. 1.5 Maintain up to date support plans where appropriate and monitoring of support outcomes and move on plans. 1.6 Support residents with budgeting/debt counselling including applications for Universal Credit and/or other benefits. This may include advice around maximising income and managing priority debt. 1.7 Deal with neighbour disputes and anti-social behaviour at the scheme1.8 Identify the need for, and to access, other specialised support when appropriate, liaising with other agencies to facilitate access to support for residents.1.9 Work with and provide guidance to residents to ensure compliance with the conditions of their tenancy in order to sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness. (e.g. on maintaining cleanliness, condition of the property, house rules etc.).1.10 Provide general advice and support to residents to promote independence and social integration (including providing support or encouragement to arrange or attend social activities). 1.11 Encourage and support residents to be engaged in the scheme, ensuring we listen and act on residents' views as appropriate.1.12 Liaise with other team members and other agencies where appropriate to ensure that a co-ordinated approach to support is provided for example to discuss needs for adaptations to a property for an individual etc. 1.13 Maintain appropriate records as required, ensuring all contact is recorded on the CRM scheme1.14 Work with others to ensure the scheme is clean and safe for residents,staff and visitors1.15 Develop effective partnerships with community resources to facilitate joined up working and mutual referrals. 1.16 Lead on any informal complaints with a view to achieving a quick resolution
