Job Title: Housing Officer

Location: East London

Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time (36 hours per week)

Salary: £18.95 - £22.90 per hour

Responsibilities:As a Housing Officer, you will play a vital role in:

  • Identifying vulnerable residents and collaborating with partner agencies to ensure safe living conditions
  • Managing various aspects of Tenancy Management, including successions, assignments, mutual exchanges, and legal matters
  • Proactively addressing anti-social behaviour through effective case management and negotiation
  • Keeping detailed records and updating victims on progress
  • Attending out-of-hours meetings and engaging in lone working when necessary

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Resilience and a self-starter attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills to navigate challenging situations
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven negotiation abilities
  • Experience in proactive case management
  • Access to a car (full driving licence required)

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Previous experience in housing or social services
  • Knowledge of tenancy law and housing regulations
  • Familiarity with community support services and agencies
  • Working with vulnerable residents
