Head of IT - £65K - £80K

Core responsibilities:

To manage the Group's IT function, with overarching accountability for Group IT systems, processes, hardware and security
To support Company Directors with developing and implementing IT strategy and investment, in line with business and environment needs
To oversee and deliver key internal IT projects, providing hands-on support with hardware.

IT Infrastructure and leadership

Develop the Group IT function and architecture to align with business needs, priorities, and future growth strategy, collaborating closely with Company Directors and the Senior/Operational Leadership Team.
Provide consultancy and advice on all IT-related topics across the entire company.
Assume overarching responsibility for the security of Group IT systems and data, ensuring adequate mechanisms are in place to prevent cyberattacks and other threats.
Lead the annual external IT security audit process and implement recommendations and certifications.

IT Support

Ensure an efficient, secure, and reliable IT environment.
Oversee and support Group Microsoft 365 services, including InTune/MDM/Autopilot, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams, and Azure AD.
Ensure all Group employees receive high-quality IT service and support, regardless of location.
Oversee and manage the resolution of IT Service Desk tickets, working closely with Support Engineers to ensure accurate tracking and documentation.

Line Management and training

Take overall management responsibility for the Group IT function, including line-managing IT team members and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment that aligns with the company's ethos.
Continuously develop your own skills, knowledge, and competencies to meet business needs, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements.
Ensure end-users are adequately trained on company IT systems and security requirements, developing policies and processes as necessary.
Maintain a personalized Training Plan and ensure direct reports receive regular feedback and training.
Attend training sessions as needed to develop core skills and competencies.
Serve as a positive role model for colleagues, demonstrating strong work ethic, attitudes, and behaviours.

Person specification:

Degree in information technology or STEM discipline, or equivalent work experience
5 years' experience working in an IT management role
Microsoft 365 infrastructure and network certifications (ITIL 4-certified)
Driving license and willingness to be office-based at least 4 days a week
