Role: Category Manager

Salary: £43,000 - £49,000

Location: Manchester

Contract: 12-month FTC

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Category Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Manchester. The role offers a number of benefits including an increased pension, home working and flexitime.

The Role:

• Lead on procurement projects to achieve cashable savings and added value opportunities
• Prepare tender documentation and manage full processes above threshold
• Support procurement strategy delivery within assigned category areas
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Carry out bench marking activities and market analysis
• Negotiate with suppliers
• Advise on procurement process and look to improve procedures where possible

The Person:

• Previous experience within the Public Sector
• PCR2015 knowledge
• Ability to work multiple projects at once
• MCIPS or working towards desirable
