Description of the Role:
Simply Education is excited to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Stockport, Greater Manchester, to find a passionate and dedicated Secondary Mathematics Teacher. This full-time role involves teaching mathematics to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons, ensuring students develop a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, and helping them achieve their full potential in preparation for further study or careers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated mathematics lessons that meet the needs of all students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and a love of learning.
Use a range of teaching strategies to ensure that all students are actively engaged and motivated to succeed.
Monitor student performance, track progress, and implement interventions where necessary to support students who may be struggling.
Promote high standards of behavior, effort, and achievement, maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the mathematics department and across the school to improve teaching practice and student outcomes.
Regularly communicate with parents and carers to share information about student progress and offer advice or support where needed.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and CPD opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to reports and assessments.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Strong knowledge of the secondary mathematics curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
A passion for teaching and inspiring students in mathematics.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
