Role- CAD TechnicianSalary- £30,000- £40,000 per annumType- PermanentLocation- Hemel HempsteadMy client design and manufacture a range of retail displays and furniture . They are looking to take on a CAD Technician, on a permanent basis, in Hemel Hempstead.The AutoCAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

• Be Degree/ HND/ HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a similar Engineering subject
• Graduate level will be considered as well as those with 2-5 years’ or more of industry experience working in a CAD / design role
• Experience in joinery 
• Good attention to detail
• Working within Retail Furniture
• Knowledge of CAD software – Inventor or Solidworks 
• Proficient with using Microsoft Office programmes
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to travel as required as a large part of the role to customer sites, both in the UK and abroad
• Someone who is keen to progress and develop with a company long term

The AutoCAD Technician role will involve:

• Working as part of the Drawing Office
• Supporting both the Projects and Process Engineering teams
• Working to produce drawings using AutoCAD
• Creating layouts and detailed drawings in line with standards
• Keeping on top of project schedules
• Checking and reviewing drawings
