We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join our dynamic Humanities Department. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for history and the ability to inspire students to appreciate the subject. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage students and encourage critical thinking and historical inquiry.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging history lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable).
Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
Assess and record students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare students for examinations and coursework.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for history.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities Department to enhance teaching and learning.
Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in History or a related field.
Proven experience teaching history at the secondary school level.
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and examination board requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Experience using technology to enhance learning is desirable.
