• To carry out various SHE and Quality inspections recording your findings accurately. Inspection Check lists to be completed before, during and after operating with all defects reported and addressed as appropriate.
• Operate, inspect and maintain static / mobile plant for load & haul, processing and materials handling
• Operating static plant and mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all Company policies and guidelines.
• Comply with Company health and safety, quality and environmental procedures.
• Close liaison with the other employees at Builth Wells to ensure production is performed efficiently.
• Operate weighbridge

Key accountabilities

• Correct and safe operation of mobile plant.
• Ensure Company procedures are adhered to.
• To operate static plant in a safe and efficient manner.
• To maintain plant in good order physically, in accordance with manufacturers and Hanson recommendations.
• To complete near miss reports as required by Site Management.
• Good timekeeping.
• Keep work stations clean and tidy
• Ensure visitors sign in and direct them to their meeting and where relevant complete contractor inductions

Job requirements

The role holder is expected:

• To comply with all aspects of the Hanson Compliance Policy
• To ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place
• To comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Sustainability Policy and other relevant legislation
• To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
• To comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company
• To be able to carry out all roles as required and instructed.
• To have a good general education as a large amount of health and safety regulations and quarry regulations are required to be understood and carried out.
• To work towards (if necessary) and attain appropriate NVQ/QCF certifications in all roles undertaken
• To report any defects to site Management for all plant and equipment operated by you.
