SEN Teacher - Daily Rate: £150 - £250 (depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for a maternity cover position, starting in September. This role is based in a supportive SEN primary school within the Ealing Borough, catering to children with autism, high sensory needs, and pre-verbal students. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for special education.
Day-to-day of the role: - Deliver tailored education plans that meet the individual needs of children with autism and high sensory needs.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that is sensitive to the children’s sensory experiences and communication challenges.
- Employ a range of teaching methods and tools to engage and support pre-verbal children.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child’s development and wellbeing.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Must possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism and sensory needs.
- Understanding of the communication challenges faced by pre-verbal children.
- Ability to create and adapt teaching materials to meet diverse needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive education.
